I've acquired suitable lodgings with no small aid from certain altruistic indivisuals, and, with the exception of being trapped in a lamely named city where I am apparently subject to random curses and other maladies, am fine. You may stop wringing your handkerchiefs, now, I'd hate for them to be damaged beyond repair.

Though it rather pains me to do so, I've no want nor need to care for the animal; is anyone in need of a beast of burden? For anything other than dog food, of course.

And I've been informed I'll need employment in this brave new world, to which I'd mention my various credentials, but rather don't have the time to list them all. I have past experience on the high seas, for one, and I am a consummate swordsman, and have various other skills you'll just have to ask me about, won't you?
